During the special festival of Ashura which begins from the evening of the day before (Tasua), the mourners cover their heads and shoulders with clay and grieve. Mourners mix rose water with the riddled clay in a 12-square meter area. They gently beat their shoulders with chains while their heads and shoulders have been covered by this clay. During the day of Tasua, the women mourners in this city cover wear black burqa, cover their face, and silently knock the doors of forty houses and light candle in forty spots.
